Nation's Biggest Employer Pushes HSAs & High-Deductible Health Care
As I mentioned the other day, with Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) come high-deductible health care plans.
A bait-and-switch, you might call it, where the employer shifts premium costs onto employees in the form of higher deductibles, provides them with a HSA, and then sends them off to consume their health care.
The trend is apparently picking up steam. In fact, the Washington Post reports today that the biggest employer in the country is charting the way down this new path -- led by its self-fashioned CEO, George W. Bush.
